Synopsis
Choked by severe international sanctions that have completely cut off its financial lifelines, North Korea concocts a desperate, high-stakes scheme to secure $200 million in foreign aid. Under direct orders from the ruling Workers' Party, the State Security Department is tasked with organizing the nation's very first fake church choir.
Park Kyo-sun, an intelligence team leader from the arrest squad, and Kim Tae-seong, an operatic vocalist from the Supreme Guard Command's propaganda troupe, are forced to co-lead this delicate undercover project while constantly keeping each other in check. Soon, an eccentric ensemble of musicians—including conductor Kim Seong-cheol from the Pyongyang University of Music and Dance—begins to assemble, one by one...
